A Note To My Best Friend
I hurt every single time you are going through a break up - with each one more terrible than the first. You always put me in a position where I feel so helpless, like every word I say doesn’t get through your ears, more so your mind. I want you to forget, to move on at times because it has become a vicious cycle swallowing you like a vortex would. But then again, what do I know? I am merely an outsider, viewing your love story as you both write a history you would call your own.
When you’ve found that one person who can make your heart beat so fast it feels as though it’s ready to come alive and pop right out of your chest…
that one person who can make your world spin in such a hazy whirlwind but makes you feel secure as ever…
that one person who’s voice or smile is enough to make your day…
that one person who makes you see a future you would want to live in…
that one person who makes you love and trust yourself a little bit more because every single time you look in that person’s eyes, you like the person you see…
IT IS NOT EASY TO LET GO.
So you fight. Yes, you fight until you bleed yourself dry. You fight until you run out of breath or words to say. You fight even when the pain kills. You have to as long as you have reason to fight for that one person because you owe it to yourself to die knowing you have tried and gave it your all.
I believe love that is so strong and true comes rarely in a person’s life. It may come once or twice but never an everyday occasion for then it would have lost its beauty. If you’re lucky enough to grab hold of such blessing, you don’t let go. Not everybody is given the chance; not everybody ends up with people who makes them feel alive every single day; not everybody has that someone who adds that bounce to their steps or that unmistakable smile in their eyes.
So, yes, fight. If he is that person to you, fight. Fight. Hope. Pray. And then if he’s really for you, you’ll find that the stars are aligned and the universe will conspire to bring you where you are exactly meant to be. :)
